Say that again?

"Brazil has the highest tax-to-GDP rate in the Western Hemisphere and guess what — they're growing like crazy," Clinton said. "And the rich are getting richer, but they're pulling people out of poverty." -- Hillary Clinton, 2008

Total growth as a percentage of GDP (1990-2008) and tax revenue as a percentage of GDP (2008)
 GrowthTaxes
Panama189%10.7%
Chile168%18.9%
Costa Rica154%15.2%
Peru121%15.7%
Argentina111%24.5%
Brazil63%35.5%
United States51.7%28.3%
Canada48.5%33.3%

How's that again, Mrs. Clinton?

Sources for this came from the World Bank and the Heritage Foundation.

Wha'sa matter? Can't you you find something relevant to comment on, as our economy and future slips away, after your idiot from Texas wrecked our country/economy?

Some of us have real lives, that revolve around real people. Some of us even live in the present. I see you're still obsessed with Bush.

But don't worry. Everything will be OK now that your man Obama is in charge. He will fix everything, right? Oh, and don't let me forget Pelosi and Reid.

Honestly, can you state that what Obama is doing is the right thing?

There will come a point in time when all you people with Bush Derangement Syndrom can't blame bush anymore.

I find it amazing that on your blog (oh, I suspect who you are) that's all you talk about. It's Bush's fault...even stuff that hasn't happened yet, I suspect. Your analogy about WWII is flawed by the way.

My Bush comments come from the fact that I have an 'All-News' channel that shows 8 screens at once, and they condisder Fox as news, so when there is a commercial on a real news station I will flip to Fox to see what the anti-Obama, all the time, network has to say. One thing they love to say is, 'You can't blame Bush anymore for Obabm's problems'. Bullshit!. This economic mess we are in, and will be, for a LONG time, is W's legacy, and always will be. No matter how much you and your ilk dance around it, he took us to the brink, and we are still there. And,in BDS,D stands for denial, and it ain't a river in Egypt. Is Obama doing the right thing? Who knows. He is struggling to fix the worst economic mess since the Great Depression, with the help of Bernahnke, a Bush guy. He's damned if he does, (stimulus) and damned if he doesn't (we crash), BUT, bottom line, Bush led us into the huge mess we are in. That's just plain fact, and I hate to see the talking heads at Fox (and you) try to deny it. And what's wrong w/the WWII comparison, where a person does greivous harm to a country/the world? And, I use anonymous, cuz your blog doesn't allow FamGuy to show up most of the time. I thought for awhile you were deleting, but something else is going on. AND, Bush isn't even close to the only thing on my blog.

I was moderating for a while, not deleting, so some of your comments did not show up right away. I have not deleted any, up to now.

Out of your last 30 posts, 16 were personal, and 14 were about politics, of which 11 were Bush/Cheney rants.

I'm really kind of tired of this pointless exchange. You bash Bush/Cheney and Texans in general, with no facts, only emotion.

I can suggest some other conservative-leaning blogs where you can post. But overall, you won't consider any evidence that there were others involved in our current problems. So this is becoming a waste of time...

Agreed, waste of time, but a parting salvo. What % of your blog is anti-Obama? Higher than my anti Bush, I'm sure. My Bush bashing IS based on facts, whether you like/accept them or not. He and his administration, over 8 years, wrecked our economy, and directly led us into the worst recession/depression since the 30's. Truth. Fact. Deal with it.

"What % of your blog is anti-Obama? Higher than my anti Bush, I'm sure."

You seem to assume facts are facts even if they aren't, so I did the math for you.

78 percent of your politic posts where anti-bush. 36 percent of mine where anti-Obama, and not against the man himself (I've never called him an idiot, or other derogatory names) but his policies.

Of course Bush has to shoulder some of the blame the current mess. As Truman once said "the buck stops here."

Do you know who these people are and the roles they played in the last financial mess?

Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barnie Franks, Chris Dodd, Phil Gramm, Lawrence Summers, Paul Volker, Timothy Geitner, Jon Corzine, Paul Samuelson, Alan Greenspan, Franklin Raines. There are more actors in the play, but these are the ones I can spout off the top of my mind.

If you knew and understood what each of these people did and the part they played, your constant harping like a left-wing loon about Bush/Cheney will NOT be the truth.

You would truly understand why current government policies will -- in the long run -- not clean up this mess.

So deal with that.

I said 'What % of my blog, NOT what political %.' Just goes to show you can twist facts to meet your own ends. Of course the political % is high. It is his mess we deal with day to day, BUT, as you point out, 'some of us have real lives' and that is the MAIN point of mine, unlike you, who constantly rails against the party who was elected, after your crowd showed us how NOT to do it. But, isn't that the point of having your own blog? Right or wrong, I doubt if either of us change.

Steve said...

OK. If I includes the posts of your vacation, pets, etc, then the anti-Bush rants were 36%. But that's like comparing apples to oranges. If you don't know what I mean, then run down to your local college and sign up for some courses in research theory, statistics and logic.

You wrote: "...unlike you, who constantly rails against the party who was elected, after your crowd showed us how NOT to do it."

So I shouldn't "rail" against the party that was elected? If I disagree with what they are doing, should I not? did you not "rail" against Bush when you began your blog back in '06, which you continue to this day, four years later, even though he is no longer in power.

Btw, who is my "crowd?" You don't know what I supported and what I didn't during the Bush years. You just assume it; because you think I'm conservative you stereotype. This makes you a bigot, does it not?

Why don't you go find someone else to attack. There are many out there who are actually right-wing wackos.

I don't have to assume anything. You are as transparent as a sheer silk negligee. You are totally and unabashedly pro-Bush/Repub, anti-Obama/Democrat. Why can't you at least admit what/who you are? Ashamed.... At least I admit who I am. I can't stand Bush, and what he did to us, with the oil prices, war based on lies, get the whole world pissed at us, torture is OK, liar loans are OK, ad nauseum for the worst thing that ever happened to our country. We gotta live with that buffon's legacy, as we struggle to survive. At least I don't pretend, like you....
