Fed up with liberal lies

Sometimes I want to put my fist through my monitor as I scan news articles, blogs and the comments that go along. Bad enough is the leftist talking-point of the "tax cuts for the rich" which is -- at least -- a distortion of the truth (what they mean is that only the rich got tax cuts, which is ridiculous).

But I keep reading about how the Republicans caused the current recession. I want to scream. Doesn't anybody know how to read and analyze facts anymore?

Here's Dylan Loewe, a Democrat speech writer:
But if Democrats can't stand up and clearly articulate the nightmare scenario we were saved from, while championing the progress we're making everyday, then the economic disaster that Republicans caused may well be the same disaster that helps them surge back into power. (Emphasis mine.)
But like in a divorce where it takes two people to fail a marriage, the Republicans can't shoulder all the blame, nor should they. The current recession had its roots with Jimmy Carter's Community Reinvestment Act and Bill Clinton putting it on steriods. When Republicans wanted more oversight on these Freddie and Fannie programs in the mid-2000s, efforts were blocked. They should have fought harder.

The truth is out there. You just have to accept it. You can read more about the Community Reinvestment Action here

Postscript: Dylan Loewe is coming out with a book entitled: Permanently Blue: How the Democrats Can End the Republican Party and Rule the Next Generation. One party rule? Does that scare you?

Bottom line: Bush inherited a surplus from Clinton, and after 8 years of irresponsibility/stupidity, deficit spending, starting wars based on lies, tax cuts 'mostly for the rich', complicity in raising the price of oil, and changing the financial rules to benefit a few, TOTALLY WRECKED our economy and nearly took down the rest of the world with him. There's a reason he ended up as the least popular prez, EVER. Deal with it and quit making excuses for the people who did the damage.

The 'liar loans', one of the main causes of the housing loan fiasco and economic collapse had nothing to do with Carter and Clinton. It was Bush and his buddies.

Do I detect a hint of BDS here? People who suffer from Bush derangement syndrome are impossible to debate. Any fact is brushed away. I'm not here to defend Bush, unless I agree with a particular policy of his; he wasn't perect by a long shot, but to make blanket statements, and to be still posting anti-bush cartoons on your blog shows a unability to move on, in my opinion. Btw, Truman had an approval rating of 22 percent at one time, Nixon 24 percent, which is a little lower than Bush's 28 percent approval rating. Now if you compare his disapproval ratings, he does beat Truman, 69 to 67.

Bush's final approcal number? 22%. Lowest for ANY prez.
Check it out, deal with it, and quit posting lies.

I imagine his BDS comes from the fact that you can't look at the economic mess we are in without thinking of Georgie Boy.

So what's your problem with someone pointing out the disaster the Republicans caused. The truth hurts, right?

having been a military dependent (NSA) and lived in Texas (Ft. Hood), it's senseless to try to reason with a Conservative from this neck of the woods. Folks out there argue with fence posts and believe Jesus was a Baptist. Lobbyists and Special Interest Groups in Washington are a bane to the existence in the way Congress should be run. They have way too much influence especially in Campaigns. Honesty and integrity are two words Congress knows nothing about in this generation, whether it be Republican or Democrat. Seeing to the needs of the people it serves is no longer a priority. Which party is ahead matters most these days. Filibusters, voting down important bills, anything to oppose the party in power and the President. Our Country doesn't work together, it works against itself. That's why it fails time after time. Just go back to the beginning of our government and see for yourself the true backbone of America was the People.

The 28 percent I mentioned earlier was from the Washington Post. I didn't make it up and it wasn't a lie. A quick search showed that CNN and CBS did report a 22 percent rating for Bush. So I stand corrected.

But you know, Fam Guy, if you're just going throw insults, don't bother commenting.

Steve, please! You should know by now that you can't believe the Washington Post. Anything inside the Beltway is tainted. Look for yourself, can't you see those blinders Capitol Hill wears...both sides. The cases of guide dogs have gone up tenfold around Capitol Hill. It's frightning.

Throw insults? Pointing out where you are wrong is insulting? It's your blog and you can say what you want, but don't try change history.
